Access to ByteYShield services is available to individuals and organisations that can form legally binding contracts under applicable law and who adhere to these terms.

Users must meet the minimum age required by applicable law to use the services. If you are under the applicable age threshold for your jurisdiction, you should not register or use the service without parental or guardian oversight.

You may use ByteYShield only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. Prohibited activities include using the platform to facilitate illegal conduct or to subvert security measures.

ByteYShield is operated from Switzerland and is subject to Swiss law. Access may be restricted in certain jurisdictions; it is your responsibility to ensure complying with local laws before using the service.

Certain features require a registered account. You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and for all activity under your account.

Provide true, accurate and current information when creating or updating an account. Failure to maintain accurate information may limit access or compromise your ability to recover the account.

Protect your account credentials and take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access. Notify ByteYShield promptly if you suspect account compromise.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable unless expressly permitted in writing by ByteYShield. Attempting to sell or transfer accounts may result in suspension.

If you suspect your account has been compromised, notify support immediately at [email protected]. We will take available steps to contribute and to help secure the account.

ByteYShield may suspend or restrict accounts that violate these Terms, pose security risks, or otherwise jeopardize platform integrity. Where feasible, we will notify affected users with reasons for suspension.

ByteYShield offers online courses, practical simulations, assessments, and advisory materials focused on safe online operations. Content is developed by subject matter experts and designed for professional learning, risk reduction, and operational awareness.

We may modify, update, or discontinue features, content, or the service as a whole. Substantial changes will be communicated through the platform or by email to account holders when appropriate.

ByteYShield aims to maintain high availability but does not warrant uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages may occur; we endeavor to minimise disruption and to communicate significant service interruptions.

Users must act with professionalism and respect. The following list provides examples of prohibited conduct on the ByteYShield platform.

• Do not engage in illegal activities, including activities that facilitate fraud, harassment, or cybercrime.
• Do not attempt to bypass platform security, exploit vulnerabilities, or perform penetration testing without explicit prior consent from ByteYShield.
• Do not share account credentials or permit unauthorized access to paid or restricted materials.
• Do not upload or distribute malicious code, malware, or content intended to compromise systems or privacy.
• Do not post false, defamatory, or misleading information about ByteYShield or other users.
• Do not infringe intellectual property rights of ByteYShield or third parties.
• Comply with any additional rules or instructions provided in course materials or by administrators during interactive sessions.

Users may submit content such as comments, forum posts, assignments, and training artifacts. Submitting content implies certain rights and responsibilities.

You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to the rights you grant ByteYShield to operate and display the content as necessary to provide the service.

By submitting content you grant ByteYShield a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate and display the content within the platform and for internal educational purposes, including aggregated, anonymised analysis.

You are responsible for the lawfulness, accuracy and appropriateness of content you submit. Content that violates these Terms may be removed without notice.

ByteYShield may remove or restrict access to user content that breaches these Terms, is unlawful, or poses a risk to other users or systems.

All platform materials, course content, software, graphics, activity and other intellectual property are the property of ByteYShield or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

• Do not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of ByteYShield course content without prior written permission.
• You may download and use materials for personal learning or internal organisational training only, subject to licensing terms and payment where applicable.
• Unauthorized commercial use of ByteYShield intellectual property is prohibited and may result in legal action.

ByteYShield provides certain paid courses, certifications, and enterprise services. Paid services are subject to the specific terms described at purchase and these general provisions.

Pricing is presented at the time of purchase. Prices for paid services do not include taxes unless explicitly stated. ByteYShield may offer promotional pricing for limited periods.

Payments are processed via authorised third-party payment providers. By purchasing, you authorize these providers to charge the selected payment method for the applicable fees.

Subscription services renew automatically at the end of each subscription term unless cancelled prior to renewal. Customers may cancel auto-renewal through account settings or by contacting support.

Refunds for paid services are considered on a case-by-case basis. Refund eligibility and processes are described in the product-specific terms at the time of purchase. Factors include access to content consumed and the nature of the service.

You may cancel paid services via account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation does not necessarily result in a refund for fees already paid, subject to the refund policy applicable to the purchased service.

Applicable taxes, duties, or similar governmental charges are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise indicated at the point of sale.

We may adjust pricing for services over time. Existing subscriptions will be notified in advance of any material price increases and will be given the opportunity to cancel before changes take effect.

Failure to pay fees may result in suspension or termination of access to paid services; ByteYShield reserves the right to pursue collection where applicable.

Content provided by ByteYShield is intended for educational and training purposes to improve operational safety online. Materials do not constitute legal, regulatory, or professional advice tailored to specific circumstances. Users should apply professional judgement and consult appropriate advisors for decisions affecting legal or regulatory compliance.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ByteYShield and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to amounts paid by you for the relevant service in the 12 months preceding the claim, except where applicable law requires a different limitation.

ByteYShield may reference or integrate third-party services, content, or tools. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their terms, privacy practices or performance. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.

Either party may terminate the account relationship in accordance with the subscription and cancellation provisions. ByteYShield may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, security reasons, or other legitimate operational concerns.

Upon termination, access to paid content will cease. Obligations that by their nature survive termination (such as payment obligations, ownership, confidentiality and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

Use of the service involves personal data processing as described in our Privacy Policy. By using ByteYShield, you acknowledge and accept the privacy practices set out in that policy, available at ByteYShield.info/privacy.

We communicate with users primarily by email and in-platform notifications. Notices to ByteYShield should be sent to [email protected] or by post to Route du Grand-Saint-Bernard 18, 1945 Liddes, Switzerland. Material notices will identify the sender and provide sufficient detail for a response.

We may revise these Terms to address legal, regulatory, or business changes. Material revisions will be notified to users with reasonable notice. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Canton of Valais, Switzerland, for disputes that cannot be resolved amicably.

If a dispute arises, please contact support to seek an amicable resolution. If unresolved, disputes will be resolved in accordance with the governing law provision and by the competent courts of the Canton of Valais.
